The Dubuque Sports & Recreation Festival is a free family event that brings together over 100 sports and recreational organizations and programs from throughout the tri-state area to provide a one-stop opportunity for residents to see and learn about the numerous participation options.

On Saturday December 14, 2013, beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Carnegie-Stout Public Library, 360 W. 11th St. Dubuque, IA; The Dubuque Independent Football League (DIFL) will hold elections for members of the DIFL Board for the 2014 Season.
These elections are to select members of the board. Team representatives will elect nine (9) members to serve as Board Members. The Elected Board Members of the League will nominate and elect Officers at the first Board meeting of the year.Anyone interested in seeking a position on the board or who wish to nominate someone please contact DIFL Vice President, Andre Lessears, at andrelessears@gmail.com by Friday December 6, 2013.
To be eligible for board position an individual must have been a Coach, Elected Board member, or Team Representative of the DIFL, within the last 2 years prior to being nominated. (All board positions will be subject to elections at the December 2013 League meeting). After the 2013 Board elections, each elected board member shall be elected for a two (2) year term. The terms of these Elected Officers shall be staggered such that approximately two thirds (2/3) thereof are elected each year. (Vice President, Secretary, Scholar and Marketing /Fundraising Director with serve one year terms for the 2013-2014.)
