The following games have had time and/or location updates from the originally published schedule for games on 9/29/13.

D1:
Colts vs. Rams will play at 1:30 pm, Dalzell Field

D2:
Patriots vs. Steelers will play at 12:00 pm, Dalzell Field
Colts vs. WD White will play at 11:00 am, Lower Roosevelt

D3:
Patriots vs. WD Red will play at 10:00 am, Lower Roosevelt

1. D1, D2, & D3- All Levels – Striper Rule: In regards to the “No Stripers on Special Teams Rule” will be defined as Special Teams is considered Kickoff and Kickoff Return. Therefore, stripers can participate on punt and punt return with the same emphasis being down linemen.

2. D2 – We have noticed that in regards to punting, coaches have discussed prior to play that there would be no returns. This should not be the case. If coaches agree to not rush the punt, that is fine, but the ball shall be live upon reception. This is a non-negotiable rule and we should not incorporate rules that are not within our DIFL Rules, such as blitzing (being within the five yard distance), as has been noticed in some games, even if negotiated by the coaches.

3.D3 – Eligible Receiver: Any player entering the game as a linemen who would also be used as a ball carrier, must state their eligibility prior to a play being ran. Example: a tackle going out for a pass.

4. D1 – Coaches can agree not to rush for safety reasons otherwise, at this level we should be developing our kids to be involved in all aspects of a football game.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend for the start of the DIFL season.
